DEBUTS:

Conan Gray debuts the first song off his new album, wishbone, with Vodka Cranberry. I don't know how it made it here with only 19 spins, which is a common trope you'll see this week. Conan does well on this track, and the belting at the end pushes it above average.

The Kid LAROI debuts his new song HOT GIRL PROBLEMS after getting only 21 spins. What I said about the song in HITBOUND still reigns true, he has a smooth flow and the production slaps.

KATSEYE makes their 2nd debut on the chart with Gabriela, after Gnarly didn't even touch HITBOUND. Pretty glad about it because if I released my thoughts about it to the world, I would lose my credibility. Gabriela's alright. I'm still waiting for the group to release an solid EP since I know they have it in them, with M.I.A. in the tuck. By the way, Megan is my bias by a long shot for no reason other than I think her hairs cool.

This one surprises me the most out of them all. Tate McRae re-enters with Just Keep Watching off of only 10 spins. The songs on HITBOUND got more plays than this song. Are we just blindfolding the HITS 1 intern who makes these charts and forcing him to throw darts at a board for what and where entries debut? What kind of fucked up skeletons you got in your closet? Rant aside, this song is excellent. I do wish Tyla approved her feature since that would've done wonders for PR after she collabed with Morgan Wallen over literally anyone else.

Capping off the debuts, Chappell Roan enters with The Subway. This song is incredible with the beautiful vocals in the 2nd half and excellent writing in the 1st half. Chappell is hopefully here to stay, unless she pulls a Fiona Apple and dips off the face of the earth.

HITBOUND:

Reneé Rapp - You'd Like That Wouldn't You (2)
Jonas Brothers and Dean Lewis - Loved You Better (NEW)
Alessi Rose - Dumb Girl (3)
mgk - can't stay here (NEW)
Maeve - (We're Not) Together!!!! (NEW)
Michael Clifford - remember when (3)
Demi Lovato - Fast (2)
Crash Adams - New Heart (3)
Audrey Hobert - Wet Hair (3)
Maroon 5 - California (4)
Thomas Day - she got a thing about her (5)
Haven Madison - Castle (7)
Ed Sheeran - A Little More (NEW)
Marshmello and Jelly Roll - Holy Water (NEW)
sombr - 12 to 12 (3)
Russell Dickerson - Happen To Me (2)

This week's HITBOUND was a bit odd, with the Jonas Brothers having a takeover of HITS 1 for an entire day and made me think hitbound was rescheduled until it wasn't. Anyway, speaking of them, they debuted a boring ballad. Nothing to see here.

mgk also released his new album lost americana this week, leaving the song can't stay here. It's not too bad? It's a pretty powerful ballad that doesn't harm anyone unlike the last 3 singles.

New artist Maeve debuts a forgettable song called We're Not Together!!!! The only thing I can remember is her yelling the title. I wasn't even asking if you were together, calm the fuck down.

Ed Sheeran debuts his 4th single from his new album Play called A Little More. By far the best single yet. It's very basic, but Ed slides across the jazz production and doesn't try too hard.

Marshmello and Jelly Roll hold  the last devut with Holy Water, a slightly tonedeaf ballad with a beat drop at the end of a tribute chorus. It's Marshmello production, so you know its ass.

PREDICTIONS:

Demi Lovato - Fast
Addison Rae - Fame Is A Gun
Damiano David - The First Time
Alex Warren - Eternity
PinkPantheress - Illegal

REASONINGS:
I wouldn't put any of these songs here but now since 10 spins can put you on the countdown, everything's fair game.

That's all for now, take care.
